Rising From Ashes

International ideas competition for the construction of a cultural and religious centre, with the aim of revitalising a site severely affected by the January 2025 wildfires in northern Los Angeles.

The project rethinks sacred architecture as a sensory, symbolic and communal experience, one capable of moving, healing and connecting people, while integrating a broader socio-cultural complex.

The landscape design of the site contributes to the objectives of the programme.
